Understand a verification label

Zeyon's planned interface uses verification labels to show the origin and review state of a claim.

What a label tells you

Each label is planned to explain:

• Who submitted the claim
• What was checked
• When it was checked
• Whether the claim has been revoked
• What the label does not prove

The four levels

A claim can be shown with one of four labels.

• Self-reported: The controller claims this happened.
• Evidence-backed: The controller attached a file or external reference.
• Third-party attested: A service provider reviewed the evidence and signed the claim.
• Manufacturer attested: The machine creator verified the detail.

For example, a controller can report a fault as self-reported. A qualified service provider may later add a separate attestation for that event. The original submission remains visible; the attestation does not rewrite it.
