RWA, explained ​

RWA means real-world asset. It is something valuable that exists outside a blockchain, such as a machine, property, contract, or financial instrument.

Putting a record of an asset onchain can make its identity, history, claims, and permissions easier for different parties to inspect. It does not move the physical object onto the blockchain, and it does not make every claim about that object true.

A productive machine as an RWA ​

A commercial robot has value because it can perform work. Understanding that value requires more than a model name or an image. Relevant information may include:

  • Which physical machine the record refers to
  • Who controls the record
  • Where and how the machine has operated
  • Its maintenance, fault, and inspection history
  • Which work or performance claims have supporting evidence
  • Who reviewed a specific claim

Today, those facts may be split across manufacturer systems, fleet dashboards, service records, customer reports, and contracts. Zeyon is designed to give the machine a portable history without publishing sensitive source data.

What goes onchain ​

The public record is intended to hold only what benefits from shared, tamper-evident state:

  • A stable Robot Record ID
  • Controller and lifecycle changes
  • Timestamps and event order
  • References and hashes for metadata or evidence
  • Attestations and visible revocations

Raw video, customer identities, facility maps, private serial numbers, detailed telemetry, and commercial contracts should remain offchain.

What the chain proves ​

The chain can show that a particular address submitted data, when it was recorded, whether its reference changed, and whether another approved party signed a defined claim.

The chain cannot prove by itself that the physical robot exists, completed the work, is legally owned by the controller, or produced the reported revenue. Those claims require evidence, qualified review, and sometimes legal documents outside the protocol.

Why start with records ​

Settlement, insurance, financing, and machine accounts all depend on identity and operating history. Zeyon starts with the Robot Registry because later economic products should not be built on records that nobody can inspect or challenge.
